MASTER ZICO CHENG: Black Belt Woman of the Year, Black Belt Hall of Fame, Master Instructor of the Year, 1st Place ISKA U.S. Open Champion.

It doesn’t seem to matter where she goes; Master Zico Cheng (4th Degree Black Belt) seems to have a charm about her that people love. Being an excellent and caring instructor, she has a way to teach all kinds of varieties of students from all ages and all sizes. Her love for the art and her commitment to her students wins the hearts of many.

Master Zico Cheng had always been involved in the martial arts ever since her birth in the small country of Taiwan. This is where she acquired her first exposure to the martial arts through her school systems. Schools in Taiwan require martial arts training as part of their daily physical activities. It was not until she came to the United States that she realized the value of martial arts for good health, weight loss, and self-defense.

In the beginning, like most parents, she started taking Tae Kwon Do to spend some quality time with her child and stay in shape, but eventually it became a passion. Being trained under one of Grand Master Prevatt’s Chief Instructors for 13 years, Master Zico, became an expert in her field for correct form and execution with-in the style. She has gained the respect of her peers in the field and has developed many enduring friendships that continue to give their loyalty today. Master Zico has won numerous awards in tournaments throughout Florida, both in kata and sparring. This is including her first place position in one of the largest martial arts tournaments in the world, the ISKA U.S. Open. Proving her ability to practice what she preaches, she continues to deliver her message to other students and molding them into top grade martial artists today.
